is a certified TriYoga Teacher and Founder of the TriYoga & Ayurveda Clinic in Cairns. She has been practising Yoga since 1993 in Germany, Austria, Bali and Australia.
After she finished her Midwifery studies at the University of Erlangen in Germany, she worked as independent midwife for a number of years. Next to her studies she did a Diploma in Reflexology.
It was during those years of working with pregnant and birthing women when she was introduced to the power of Yoga, helping women in the challenging time of childbirth. Simultaneously she was overwealmed by its profound impact on her own life and something began to shift deep inside of her. Empowered by this experience Dagmar decided to further explore the path of Yoga. With a heartfelt desire to pass those teachings on she became a certified Hatha Yoga teacher in 2004, after 5 years of intensive training. In 2005 she met Yogini Kaliji the founder of TriYoga, USA. Experiencing the workshop with her, she knew this is the Yoga style, which comprises what she has experienced: Meditation in flow, Moment to moment awareness, Relaxation in action. She went on to study directly under master teachers of TriYoga and received her Basic Teacher Certification in 2006.
After teaching several years in Germany she moved to Cairns, where she opened her own TriYoga & Ayurveda School. Dagmar kept studying in the TriYoga and got certified in Level one, two and three. She continued to deepen her studies in Yoga Therapy, Applied Physiology & Anatomy and in alignment based Yoga systems by completing her Advanced Diploma of Ayurveda at AIHM in Perth, to work as a “Naturopath in the Indian healing tradition”.
Dagmar’s classes are nourishing, dynamic, meditative and precise. Known for her passionate and down-to-earth style of teaching Dagmar integrates flowing sequences, precise alignment, meditation and the philosophical aspects of Yoga. Her classes are designed to make you laugh and also continuously re-discover your own potential. It is her intention to inspire your heart to create tangible changes on and off the Yoga mat towards a healthier and happier life.
She teaches Yoga Classes, Workshops, Retreats and Teacher Trainings and offers one on one for Ayurveda Consultations and Treatments.
Besides group classes Dagmar also teaches private Yoga lessons. This is an ideal way to receive personalised instructions and highly beneficial for those recovering from injury or requiring special attention i.e. back pain. The focus can be therapeutic as well as fine-tuning your asana practice.
In 2017 she was Finalist at “Cairns

TriYoga is a complete and revolutionary system based in ancient yoga. Experience the kundalini-inspired sequenced flow of yogasana (postures) synchronized with pranayama (rhythmic breath) and mudra (focus). The result is increased energy… physically, mentally, and spiritually. This gives the mental clarity to manifest one’s life with greater awareness.
TriYoga Flows is a complete hatha yoga method founded by Kali Ray. The inspiration and guidance for the TriYoga Flows comes from Yogini Kali Ray’s direct experience of kriyavati (kundalini manifesting on the plane of hatha yoga). In the TriYoga Flows, breath and focus are united with flowing and sustained postures in systematized sequences. The flows are comprised of poses that are categorized into seven main posture groups: Standing, Forward Bends, Spinal Twists, Backward Bends, Balancing, Inversions, and Sitting. Since the method is systematic, students can progress from Basics to Level 1 and then to subsequent levels as they increase their flexibility, strength, endurance and knowledge. Through sustained awareness on all aspects of the practice, the inner flow naturally emerges. This trinity practice is by the nature of its origin, deeply meditative and transformative.
TriYoga Flows (Prasara), a complete hatha yoga method, is the union of posture, breath and focus – or asana, pranayama and mudra.
TriYoga fundamentals include relaxation-in-action, wave-like spinal movements and economy of motion. With the systematic approach, students can remain with Basics or progress to subsequent levels. Within each level, students increase their knowledge of posture and flow, as well as strength, flexibility, endurance and breath control. Through sustained awareness on all aspects of the practice, the movement of body, breath and mudra harmonize and the inner flow naturally emerges.
